Job Summary
IPEX Group of Companies is currently searching for a highly motivated self-starter with direct outside sales experience selling industrial or commercial plumbing-related products to join our company.
The successful candidates’ role is to increase profitability by handling the promotion, specification, and sale of the divisions’ industrial and plumbing products in their designated territory. The primary objective is to formulate and implement specification approvals and sales strategies including educating the engineering community as well as interacting with customers. The position requires the individual to be the main liaison between IPEX and wholesalers, contractors, engineers, and product specifiers.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales objectives will meet the goals outlined in the company business plan.
  • Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Applications Engineering, and Marketing regarding pricing, delivery, training, manufacturing, and availability. Ensures that accurate information is effectively disseminated, and that collaboration is maintained.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with wholesalers. Establish conditions of sale and territory product selling prices.
  • Provide formal and informal technical education and on-site training to engineers, contractors, and distributors.
  • Build and maintain customer relations activity reporting to be shared throughout the company.
Qualifications & Experience
  • College degree preferably in a technical field
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a sales capacity
  • Strong technical, analytical, negotiating, and communications skills
  • Strong computer skills including all the most recent business and sales applications
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Business insight and problem solving demeanor
